Mythology Meme → One Mythology→ Egyptian

Egyptian mythology is the collection of myths from ancient Egypt, which describe the actions of the Egyptian gods as a means of understanding the world. The beliefs that these myths express are an important part of ancient Egyptian religion. Myths appear frequently in Egyptian writings and art, particularly in short stories and in religious material such as hymns, ritual texts, funerary texts, and temple decoration. These sources rarely contain a complete account of a myth and often describe only brief fragments.

Loving the 1990s music ♫

I don’t know why but I’m the type of person who loves the 1900s, especially the bands! The music and lyrics of these people were so cool (for me) and really have a story to tell that inspired their listeners. The Oasis and Semisonic were the “best” bands for me and both really influenced my life. How? Take time to listen to their music sometimes and you’ll know.

Oasis (1991)

Oasis was formed in Manchester in 1991. Originally, there were four members in the group; Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. The famous Noel Gallagher soon joined the group and so they were five. But I don’t know the history of their band. All I know is that I love their songs.

These were my top picks:

Semisonic (1995)

THIS.IS.THE.BEST.THREE-MAN.BAND.EVER. Hahaha I’m not kidding. I love them! Remember the big hit Closing Time? They sang that song! The men that bodied this band were Dan Wilson, John Munson, and Jacob Slichter. Another thing that I love about their songs is that all of them have KILLER BASS! So, if you’re a bass lover, I am a 100000% sure you’d love them.

Now here are my top picks from them:

Sooo that’s it! Hope you guys enjoy listening to their songs. Btw, if you’re a Beatles fan, I just wanna let you know that these two bands (or the Oasis only) were both fans too. The Oasis said that their music was powered by their love to The Beatles. Also, look at Dan Wilson and the last guy on the left of the second picture of Oasis (wew). They kinda look like John Lennon, right?

Book Mania!!!

It’s my first time to buy books at Fully Booked and when I did, I bought four! Hahaha they were on sale so I grabbed the most interesting books (for me) that I could ever grab. Sure thing is that I’m going back there to buy more.

Jim Giraffe by Daren King

I bought this one because I was curious about it. The woman from Fully Booked told me that it is a story about a ghost giraffe named Jim, haunting the alien fiction writer, Scott Spectrum. Jim is a perverted and funny ghost giraffe whose mission is to help Scott live normally again with his wife and make his life longer (because Jim says that Scott’s going to die soon if he doesn’t follow him). I’ve started reading it and it was very weird. As in big time weird hahaha. It was boring at first but the third time I’ve read it, it became pretty interesting. If you like giraffes and a nerd, you’d like this book. Also, I forgot to mention that it was an adult book -_-. Sighhh. The woman told me that it’s like Perks but it isn’t. It’s totally different from perks.

The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm by Nancy Farmer

This one is an adventure book. I haven’t read this but I think it’s pretty good. It was rated 4 stars in Goodreads. Here’s the sypnosis:

General Matsika’s children steal out of the house on a forbidden adventure—and disappear. In Zimbabwe, in the year 2194, the children’s parents call in Africa’s most unusual detectives—the Ear, the Eye and the Arm—who have powers far beyond those of other human beings. The children must avoid the evils of the past, the technology of the future, and a motley assortment of criminals in order to return home safely. (Goodreads.com)

The Olive Reader by Christine Aziz

I’ve read some reviews about it and they all said it was a good book. It has something to do with the future of the earth and olive makers hahaha. I haven’t read it so I have no further comment about it. But you can check it out here at this link: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/703055.The_Olive_Readers

Special Assignments by Boris Akunin

This is actually the fifth book of the series. Sigh. I can’t find the first four. The book is about a detective who faces two different crimes. The first criminal takes money and is called “The Jack of Spades” and the second is a murderer called “The Decorator”. I looooooooove criminal books and adventure ones that’s why I’d surely enjoy reading this.

So, that’s it. Hahaha. Can’t wait to read all of them. I’m back to being a bookworm! :))

Out of Place

I hate being out of place. But sometimes I think it’s better because I know that I really don’t belong with them.

Since my childhood bestfriend, Cj, moved to another congregation, I felt empty for I lost a friend. Though there’s Rine, Dra, and Lee (not their real names), I know I still don’t belong with them. I just don’t like what they like, know what they know, and hate what they hate. There are some things that I agree with them but those are not enough for me to stick with them for so long. Then, there comes the “guy friends”. I also, don’t get them. I try my best to laugh at their jokes and everything but uggggghhh it’s hard. Whenever i’m with these people, I don’t feel like I’m me anymore. I can’t be me. I’m not comfortable around them and it sucks. And me being like this around people is soooo not me. Last meeting, they planned on watching Iron Man and eat dinner at Sm. They were talking about it in front of me and didn’t invite me. And I’m like “WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?” and they just continue talking about it. And while I was attending my cousins and talking to older people after that, I heard Ric say, “How about Kc, didn’t you invite her?”, I didn’t listen after that. I don’t want to heart their reasons. Siggghh. This saddens me. But so what?! Even if they’d invite me I’d still feel out of place. They always do this to me. Well, I DON’T CARE. I have my friends you pips.
